Privacy Policy

Short version: We don't sell your data. We don't show ads. We collect only what's needed to connect you with therapists — and we protect it with care.

1. Who We Are

ManoVigyani is a mental health practitioner directory operated by Mindgrafts Academy, based in India. We connect people seeking mental health support with qualified, RCI-registered practitioners. Our contact email is hello@manovigyani.in and our phone is +91 70128 78353.

2. Data We Collect

We collect personal data in the following situations:

When you send an enquiry (seeker or therapist contact form): your name, email address, phone number (optional), city, and message content.
When you submit a therapist application: name, email, phone, city, qualifications, and RCI/MCI registration number.
When you take a self-assessment (PHQ-9 / GAD-7): your responses are processed locally in your browser and are NOT stored on our servers or linked to your identity.
Automatically via your browser: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referral URL — for site analytics only. We use privacy-respecting analytics with no third-party ad tracking.

We do not collect sensitive health diagnoses, payment card data (processed directly by Razorpay), or any biometric data.

3. How We Use Your Data

To respond to your enquiry or therapist application (legitimate interest / contract performance).
To forward a seeker's message to the relevant therapist, with your explicit consent at point of submission.
To verify therapist credentials against official RCI/MCI registries.
To improve the directory and user experience via aggregated, anonymised analytics.
To send transactional emails (enquiry confirmations, verification updates). We do not send marketing emails without your opt-in.

4. Data Sharing

We share your data only in these limited cases:

With the therapist you enquire about — only your name, email, and message, and only with your knowledge at submission.
With Razorpay — for payment processing (therapist subscriptions). Razorpay handles card/UPI data under their own PCI-DSS compliant privacy policy.
With Resend / email infrastructure — to deliver transactional emails. No marketing use.
If required by law — in response to a valid court order or government request under applicable Indian law.

We never sell, rent, or broker your personal data to any third party for advertising or commercial purposes.

5. Data Retention

Enquiry form submissions: retained for 12 months, then deleted.
Therapist application data: retained for the duration of the practitioner's active listing, plus 6 months after cancellation.
Analytics data: aggregated and anonymised; individual IP logs purged after 30 days.

6. Your Rights (DPDPA 2023)

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Correct any inaccurate data.
Erase your data (subject to legal retention obligations).
Withdraw consent at any time for data processed on that basis.
Nominate a person to exercise these rights on your behalf.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@manovigyani.in with the subject line "Data Request". We will respond within 30 days.

7. Cookies

We use only essential session cookies required for the site to function (e.g., form submission state). We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies that profile individuals.

8. Children's Privacy

ManoVigyani is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe we have done so inadvertently, please contact us immediately at hello@manovigyani.in and we will delete it promptly.

9. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data: HTTPS on all pages, encrypted database storage, restricted staff access, and regular security reviews. No system is 100% secure, but we take this seriously.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when our practices change. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage with the updated date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
