ManoVigyani โ literally "bridge to the mind" โ was founded on a simple belief: everyone deserves access to quality mental health care, without stigma, without confusion, and without a waiting list six months long.
"Why is it so hard to find a good therapist in India?" That question โ asked by one of our founders after spending three weeks searching for a specialist for a family member โ became the seed of ManoVigyani.
We found dozens of directories โ but none felt warm. None felt like they understood the Indian cultural context: the stigma around "going to a shrink", the language barriers, the gap between urban and tier-2 cities, the confusion between psychiatrists and psychologists.
So we built ManoVigyani. A directory that speaks your language โ literally and emotionally. One that makes you feel like you're being guided by a friend, not processed by an algorithm.
Every feature we build, every decision we make, comes back to these three commitments.
Mental health care shouldn't be a privilege. We work to list therapists across tier-2 and tier-3 cities, with online options for those who can't travel.
Every therapist is credential-verified before their profile goes live. We have a robust reporting system and actively remove practitioners flagged for misconduct.
We deliberately chose warmth as our design language. This isn't a booking app. It's a safe space that happens to also have filters.
India is not one market. We tag therapists by language, region, cultural background, and lived experience โ because representation in the therapy room matters.
We publish free condition guides, self-assessment tools, and crisis resources โ because the journey to therapy often starts with understanding, not searching.
Seeking therapy is private. We never sell user data. We never show ads. Our business model is therapist subscriptions โ full stop.
Our team sits at the intersection of mental health, technology, and design โ all united by the same question that started it all.

Works directly with therapists and mental health organizations to grow the directory ethically and quickly.
All therapist registrations are cross-checked with RCI, MCI, and state psychology councils before a Verified badge is issued.
Our AI guide (Mano) is trained to detect distress signals and immediately surface crisis helpline numbers. We never let a cry for help go unacknowledged.
We are DPDPA 2023 compliant. User searches and assessment results are never linked to identity. No ads. No data brokering. Ever.
An independent ethics board of four mental health professionals reviews our policies, content, and verification processes quarterly.
Whether you're seeking help or offering it, there's a place for you here.
